All features
Everything in Roundnote
Every feature is yours for the first 5 meetings, and for good with Pro. All of it runs on your Mac, unless you choose an AI service or an assistant.
Recording
- Calls, noticed by themselves
- Teams, Zoom, Webex, FaceTime, Slack, Discord and calls in a browser: your microphone and the call's sound, with the echo taken out. Record automatically, Ask me or Do nothing.
- Record Now
- A meeting in a room, from the menu bar or with ⌘N, or ⌃⌥R from any app, which also stops it. Microphone Only, or Microphone and Computer Sound.
- Recordings you already have
- Drop any audio or video file on Roundnote, use File › Import Recording, or put it in your Inbox folder.
- A reminder for the room
- Your calendar reminds you to record a meeting in a room.
- Always in view
- The recording window stays on screen until the recording stops, and shrinks to one line.
- Nothing lost
- A recording survives a quit or a crash; the next launch makes the meeting.
While the meeting runs
- Live text
- The words a second or two after they're said, in the 25 built-in languages and in meetings that mix them.
- Speakers as they talk
- Speaker 1, 2 and so on in their own colours, people who agreed to be remembered by name. Click a label to name a voice.
- Live translation
- Every line in the meeting's main language or one you pick under Translate Into, on your Mac. Show Original brings back the words as spoken.
- Mark a moment
- Click Mark, or press ⌃⌥M from any app, even with the call in front.
- My notes
- Type a note and it keeps its time. Marks and notes steer the summary.
- Easy on the battery
- The live text pauses in Low Power Mode or below 20%, and says so. The recording goes on.
Transcripts and languages
- 100 languages
- 25 European languages on the speech model built into the app, and Whisper for the other 75.
- Meetings that mix them
- Each turn is transcribed in the language it was spoken in.
- Your words
- Names and terms in Settings › Words, with corrections such as “Akme” to “Acme”.
- Fix a line
- Click the pencil on a line; Roundnote offers to always write it that way.
- Translate afterwards
- Translate Transcript and Translate Summary, kept next to the original.
- In your language
- Roundnote itself speaks English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish and Italian.
Speakers and voices
- Who spoke when
- The voices in a meeting told apart, also several people around one Mac or beside you on a call.
- Recognised, with consent
- People who agreed to be remembered are recognised by their voice in later meetings.
- Name for This Meeting Only
- The default: the name, and nothing of the voice kept.
- Names from introductions
- “Hi, I'm Priya” names the voice, with the same question about remembering it.
- The invited people first
- When a voice needs a name, the people on the invitation are suggested first.
- Mix-ups fixed
- Same Person As… merges two speakers, Split… splits one, Not X undoes a wrong match.
- Don't Name Speakers
- For a meeting that doesn't need names.
- Forget at any time
- Forget a voice, delete a person, or Forget All Voices.
Summaries and action items
- Categories
- Customer meeting, one-on-one, project update or your own, each with its colour and its own way of summarising.
- Summaries
- On your Mac by Apple Intelligence or Gemma 4, or by the AI service you choose, in the meeting's language.
- Decisions
- Under every summary.
- Actions
- Every action item from every meeting in one list: who, what and by when, also for several people. Check them off, show just your own, or send them to Reminders.
- Tags
- The topics of every meeting, as tags.
- Merge Meetings…
- A meeting with a break becomes one meeting again.

- Every word in every meeting, and jump to the moment it was said.
- Search by meaning
- Also finds what was said in other words or in another language, on your Mac.
- Spotlight and Siri
- Meetings show up in Spotlight, and Siri can start a recording.
Sharing and keeping
